Southwark College, part of NCG is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Enrichment and Engagement Coordinator to work with our students. The ideal candidate would be able to start by August 24, but we would consider later start dates for exceptional candidates.  Based at our Southwark College site, close to Waterloo Station, the successful candidate will be part of team of a large Student Experience Department that supports both our 16-18 Study Programme students and our Adult students.

The Enrichment and Engagement Coordinator would manage, analyse and plan the development of an enrichment programme to ensure that all students have a wide range of opportunities. A key part of this role would be to support the Student Union and the students who have been nominated to roles within the Student Union. Key to this is our belief that college services and activities are learner led, and we encourage learners to have an active voice within the college.

The main duties of the post holder are:

  • To schedule, plan, cost, and deliver an annual programme of enrichment events across the college that enhance and enrich learners’ skills, behaviours, and attitudes. 

 

  • To take an active role in coordinating and supervising enrichment activities in the Atrium and classroom areas, including managing equipment and resources while on duty to ensure learner safety.

 

  • To develop and maintain the consistency of the development of Learner Voice and its associated components. This would include support the Student Union and its student nominees.

 

  • To arrange and lead specialist group activities & engagement for learners around key themes of the enrichment calendar and college Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Behaviour’s calendar in year.

 

  • To work as part of an inter-disciplinary team to maximise learner participation, and to promote positive learner behaviour and attitudes.
